![]() You can work with bad hardware to an extent by lowering your in game resolution, auditing other processes and services while playing Valorant, and tweaking settings (nvidia, windows, etc).īut I'll say again: the biggest factor by far to facilitate ranking up is player improvement. More frames, more stable frame time, lower system latency, all these things can make ranking up easier. Third, if you're on a laptop or are on bad/old hardware consider upgrading. IMO smaller and lighter is better for aim, but if you prefer or are more comfortable on larger/heavier mice go for that. Pick something in your price range that you like the shape and weight of. Some gaming mice are better than others, but the difference is going to be small. I would say 99/100 Valorant players won't have this as an issue, but if you're using some logitech office mouse or god forbid a roller ball or something upgrade to a gaming mouse. Secondly, make sure you have a decent mouse. Like I said it isn't necessary but it will make things easier. I would further say that a 60hz won't hold you back as much until you start getting to mid to high elo, maybe around plat. You might have to adjust your playstyle a bit, but it's possible. I 100% believe you could get to extremely high elo on a 60 hz monitor. The gap from 60 to 140 is jarring, and from 140 to 240 is noticeable. After running Competitive mode through Valorant's beta stage, Riot came to the conclusion that the name of the pre-launch top rank, 'Valorant,' was. Some people underplay how important it is. Radiant Valorant's top rank has a new title. Some people overplay how important it is. Less important stuff that can help but is in no way necessary:įirst, a 140 or higher hz monitor helps. ![]() If you're pushing a sub 10 mbps download bandwidth or some painfully small upload bandwidth, it'll make things much harder. It's also important to be connected via ethernet, not wifi. It's 2021 so this one should be relatively easy to accomplish. If you have a small mouse pad low EDPI will be unplayable. Secondly, because you want to play lower EDPI, you'll need a large mouse pad to move your mouse around in. an EDPI between ~150 - 400 is the range that I would call "reasonable." If you don't have that type of experience with your high sens, you should lower it. The players with unreasonably high EDPI in high elo have played at their sens for an extremely long time, and over that time they mastered it. Others can be overcome relatively quickly but they just slow down the process.įirst, if you're playing with an unreasonable EDPI, you will be hardstuck in low elo for a very long time. I will say that there are a few bottlenecks that don't have to do with skill that could prevent progress altogether.
